The Jornada Experimental Range has developed a system for classifying ecological state transitions on a global scale. The State Transition Classifier is a tool that anyone can use to interactively explore this classification system. Transitions described using this tool are stored locally on your device, which gives you the opportunity to return to your activities at a later date. Transitions you create are not visible to other users. Use the Download and Upload functions to easily share state-and-transition models with other users and preserve a permanent file of your work that can be reloaded as desired.
